“Taking as a starting point the French film J’accuse (1919) by Abel Gance, a film that denounces the horrors that took place during the First World War, the curator Adonay Bermúdez takes stock of different representations of war in the field of contemporary art over the last century, focusing especially on the most immediate decades. The aim is to bring closer the work of public denunciation carried out by artists, as well as to evaluate the concepts of history, violence, civil disobedience, strategy or iconography.

A critical cartography of past and present discourses and practices that makes it possible to scrutinise the current war panorama from an artistic perspective.”
